10 Scores

Combo of at least 2 out of 3:

  1. Variety of scenes + artwork with cohesive visual design and/or visual complexity - fonts / colors / framing / etc.

  2. Incorporation of parallax and/or frame animation with tweening OR well-produced frame / stop motion animation

  3. Unique, engaging narrative


9.5 Scores

  1. Slightly less cohesive design and/or visual complexity of the visuals of a 10

  2. Excellent variety of scenes / framing + experimentation


9.0 Scores

Excellent projects with engaging narrative and cohesive visuals with one or more of the following issues:

  1. Less variety of animation types - mostly tweens / keyframes, but less complexity

  2. Less variety of scenes / unique framing

  3. Minor technical glitches or issues


8.5 Scores

Projects with solid narratives with less complex visuals, less complex animation-types (majority basic kayframes on the same background) + less variety with framing / shots or two of the 3 issues above and with less unique / less compelling narratives.


7.5 - 7.0 Scores

These projects exhibit a major issue or multiple moderate issues, and do not attempt to explore conceptual avenues and also do not work with a unique narrative (and make no attempts to take an existing narrative and make it unique).
