Module 2 STUDIO PROJECT: VIDEO + FRAME ANIMATION BASICS

Before starting these tutorial videos or the Module 2 Studio Project, be sure to check Canvas for the specific requirements for the projects. Adobe Photoshop CC is strongly recommended for this project this week. It is currently free for UCSC students and will streamline the processes below. If you are unable to download and install Photoshop, you may use alternative GIF-Production Apps or Programs - an alternative, in-browser option called EZGIF.com and corresponding tutorials are posted below the Photoshop Tutorial Videos.

WORKING WITH ALTERNATIVE GIF ANIMATION PROGRAMS AND APPS

The following tutorials work with EZGIF.com - this is not the only GIF-production option available, and you are welcome to use another alternative option as long as it can meet the minimum requirements for the Studio Project posted in Canvas. If you are able to, please consider working with Photoshop for this project - it is currently free, and is a bit faster to work with for this assignment. Most importantly, it allows for more control over the final animation visuals, which can be more fun and experimental. Other options to check are the phone app Momento.
